The Model Room II
In this room you will also find excellent models of what Missions San Miguel & San Antonio might have looked like at the peak of their activity. These models were made in 1936 by San Quentin prison hospital inmates.
To the upper right you will notice a display case of original vestments worn by the Padres of the Mission. Some were locally made, other more elaborate vestments probably came from Spain. If you are interested in how these vestments were made, take a look at the needle work of local Mission San Miguel artist Betty Arbogast in the Mission Art Pages.
