Mission San Miguel Christmas Arts, Crafts and Food Faire

Posted on Oct 13, 2004

The Busy Bees of Mission San Miguel announce that they’ll be having their Annual Christmas Faire earlier this year: November 5th, 6th, and 7th 2004, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Due to the closure of the Mission, the Faire will take place at the Mission Picnic Grounds. –In case of inclement weather, the Faire will be held in the Mission La Conquistadora Room. (Behind and adjacent to the Picnic Grounds.)

The “Bees” have been working hard all year to make this annual event a success. Highlighting this event, there will be all sorts of homemade goods such as candy, nut wreaths, soft baby blankets, warm scarves and hats, original paintings, unique purses, jewelry, toys, embroidery, baked goods, food and LIVE music!

There will also be an exciting raffle with three prizes! --- An original Mission painting by renown Mission artist Anthony Quartuccio, a hand-knitted Afghan by Sr. Joanne Ahles and a beautiful Collector’s Porcelain Doll. The drawing will be on Sunday November 7th at 2P.M. at the Mission Picnic Grounds. Tickets for the raffle are available at the Gift Shop and are $1.00 each or six for $ 5.00.

Please help Mission San Miguel, get a jump on Christmas and have some early Christmas fun as well! Mission San Miguel desperately needs help for the building of a Convocation Center to house the Parish for its services and special events while the old historic mission buildings can be repaired and retrofitted. All profits will go to that dedicated cause.
