Wine and Cheese Tasting Event at San Ardo’s Caviglia Vineyard and Tasting Room.

For those of you traveling North or South on Highway 101, Saturday, August 21, 2004, 6 to 8 P.M. there’s going to be a delightful evening of wine and cheese tasting at one of San Ardo’s newest and most intriguing wineries to help benefit Mission San Miguel’s Preservation Fund. Caviglia Vineyard’s (pronounced – KA-VEEL-YA) opened it’s tasting room on July 4, 2004. Located in the Monterey County town of San Ardo at 63008 Bernardo Rd, the tasting room is just off Highway 101, approximately 17 miles South of King City.

Caviglia Vineyards currently offers six wine varietals; Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Barbera, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese and Zinfandel. All wines are of the 2002 vintage and are from carefully selected vineyards throughout the coast and sierra foothills.. Caviglia wines are very reasonably priced between $9.50 and $15.00 per bottle.

Caviglia Vineyard is hosting an evening of tastings of their wines and accompanying cheeses. They will be giving 15% of their wine sales to the Mission’s Preservation Fund. The cost of the affair is $10.00 per person .
